142nd's F-15C #007 Lives Another Day

So recently, the 142nd Fighter Wing posted verily happily that after a small 2013 accident upon takeoff, F-15C #007 has finally been returned to service. Here's the article:

Fly Another Day: 007 back in action

The artticle, written by local guardsmen at teh Portland Air National Guard base, claims the accident was nothing more than a structural failure of a new jet that was being tested.

Or was it? Is the Oregon National Guard trying to cover something up? I find it difficult to believe a simple panel or two took 2 years to replace.

Maybe the jet was actually involved in combat operations over a friendly nation. Perhaps it took 2 years to repair because of a necessity to maintain secrecy over a repair process that, if made public, would have brought to light true heroism and professionalism of the 123rd Fighter Squadron's  fighter pilots.

Maybe my upcoming book, "The Legend of Jet 31", will bring it all to light...
